We have great news everyone! We have all of the confirmations that we need to operate leagues at Sports Park past the 8pm curfew under the conditions of “patronizing or operating private businesses.” However, Sports Park will still remain closed for today, Monday, June 1, 2020. As much as we would like to play today, we were not given enough time to coordinate all of the resources that we need to open tonight. Please understand that our decision to close the park for today and obtain further information was made to make sure that our players were not in jeopardy of facing the consequences of breaking the 8pm curfew order. We have clarified that exceptions have been made to this curfew and participating in our leagues at Sports Park fall into those exemptions. Leagues will begin again in full force starting tomorrow, June 2, 2020. When we are back, we must all still respect the 8pm curfew order where applicable, which includes no loitering in the parking lot. When it is past 8pm, please be inside the park gates or on your way off the premises. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we appreciate your understanding.
For those that are interested in looking further into what the curfew entails here in Tucson here is more information from Mayor Romero https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=951642048628549&external_log_id=0c69c811460606e5d2a97c35614b11b3.
